Dr. Amy Greenberg, PsyD
Specialties: Ages 12+ anxiety, trauma, depression, relationships, grief, medical concerns, sleep, ADHD, substance use, OCD, athletes, high achieving individuals, eating disorders, body image, and burnout. Individual, couples, and family therapy.
When life feels overwhelming and there is high pressure to manage personal issues, I work with clients to reduce the distress and overcome obstacles in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. Since it can be scary and painful to reveal vulnerability, I always strive to build a trusting therapeutic relationship in which my clients feel comfortable to explore personal experiences. Whether you’re seeking short-term support or looking for deeper, long-term work, I tailor our sessions to your unique needs.
I empower my clients to achieve their goals, reduce symptoms, enhance relationships, and achieve more enjoyment in life. The goals of therapy can range from helping my clients to understand and change problematic thought patterns and emotions, overcoming grief and loss, reducing destructive behaviors, conquering depression, enhancing problem solving or communication skills, feeling less stuck, reducing anxiety, finding balance, or increasing fulfillment or confidence. Many of my clients have demands from work, school, family, OR their mental or physical health that they are trying to better cope with. I frequently work with clients one on one, in families, or in couples.
In our time together, you can expect empathy, honesty, an advocate, and a therapist who will help you become the best version of yourself.

Therapy Approach
As you embark on your therapeutic journey, my focus is to cultivate a strong relationship based on openness, curiosity, compassion, trust, and acceptance. Building our relationship is paramount, especially before we dive into any strong emotions and beliefs.
Built into my treatment approach is the idea that there is not a one-size-fits-all therapy. I provide integrative therapy that utilizes empirically proven therapeutic techniques that are effective for the treatment of specific problems. I ask for information about your experiences, preferences, needs, and other factors that may affect which treatment techniques are best suitable for you. This is an active process that involves a great deal of input from you as my client. My intentions are centered on collaboration to learn and understand your experiences, emotional turmoil, values, interpretation of situations, current restrictions, and the problems ahead. Together we will develop a comprehensive plan designed to facilitate healing, enabling you to process emotions, build resilience, and ultimately achieve a sense of personal fulfillment and well-being. I value the opportunity to begin your care and work alongside you through this process.
Treatment elements include: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Exposure and Response Prevention, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. Trauma-Focused CBT and Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
What would you say to someone who is considering therapy?
Walking through life feeling anxious, depressed, and weighed down by a mental overload is an awful state of mind. Instead of suffering, it may be a relief to meet with a professional who has decades of training and clinical experience helping clients recover, regain productivity and happiness.
While some of my clients are new to trying out therapy, I also work with clients who have been to multiple therapists without feeling any improvement and seek guidance to resolve complex emotional experiences. I am here to help you overcome and recover from painful experiences that are accompanied by intense emotions.
